This web site provides the residents of Pyrford information about the activities of the Pyrford Neighbourhood Forum and enables you to participate in those activities.
Initiated by Members of the Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford Resident Association, we have attracted a large and enthusiastic group to form the Pyrford Neighbourhood Forum. Through this forum, established under the provisions of the 2011 Localism Act, we aim to engage the local community to influence the way that our village grows and develops.
The 2011 Localism Act changed the way that local planning is conducted. By introducing Neighbourhood Forums and Neighbourhood Plans it provides a new way of helping local communities to influence the planning of the area in which they live and work.
Pyrford already has a strong community within which everyone contributes. Whether it be volunteering to help with one of the many local organisations, for example school, church or scouts, or simply saying ‘hello’ as you pass on the street, the people of Pyrford generate a strong community spirit and feeling of wellbeing for young and old alike.
Becoming a member of the Pyrford Neighbourhood Forum is an easy way that you can register your support for developing a plan that maintains our thriving community. There are no obligations to being a member. The main thing is that we get as many people engaged as possible so that we can get a wide and representative range of views.
You can provide your input in a variety of ways. We will be regularly updating this web site and you can add your comments directly to these updates. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter and provide your input there. Meetings will be arranged to keep you up to date on latest proposals and get your views face to face.
So, please register your interest by completing the short form on the contact page completing the short form.
Thank You
